On 21 November 1945 Dad left the China, Burma, India Theater from Calcutta, India aboard the S.S. Marine Devil. It appears from the papers I have, that there were personnel from all branches aboard.  On November 29th they had Thanksgiving Dinner consisting of; green olives, cream of tomato soup, roast turkey, dressing, giblet gravy, cranberry jelly, green peas, candied sweet potatos, ice cream, mince pie, apples, nuts, coffee and after dinner mints.

On 20 December 1945 (Holy 1945 as it is refered to on the ship's progress record) they arrived in Seattle, Washington.  They were home, "state side"!  Dad still had to get across the county, back to Rhode Island, but I'm sure Seattle was home right then.

If the following list will help anyone complete their own or someone elses story it was worth writing.
