I remember Dad telling me that there was a Shaolin Temple or
on the hill in the background. Also, the second plane in line, a
P-51B, has the name "Iowa Kelly" on the nose.
The writing on the back of this one says: "Taken
June 4, 1944 in China. Henry Chin, Jim Vieth, Henry Mulloy, Art
& Me!" The guy in the "flight suit" is
I guess he lost a lot of his things on the way over to China. A
pilot gave him "the clothes off his back" because he looked so tattered
and worn in his only uniform. He really liked the flight suits to
work in. They were really comfortable.
